The dreaded appraisal time is here, I have to fit people in a freakin curve.
How I hate to do it.

Today is the last day of my 2 week break from work phew
The routine awaits me from tomorrow the same old daily rut, the same bitchin the same waiting for the week to get over feelin.
Long long time since I have blogged. Have been thinking of writing something in here for a long time even made a a new year resolution that I would start writing some sort of invisible force keeping me away from typing. Well nothing much to do nowadays other than watching TV and eating, two of my best hobbies
Was channel surfing and there was this soap on Star One, the setting for it was a call center, have been working in them since 4 years so happened to put on my black hat on the way call centers are projected in that soap
1. To start with girls dont dress that way in any call center in Mumbai & Pune as far as my limited knowledge goes, no wonder people get wrong ideas about girls working out here.
2. You cant take a break whenver you want and roam around. There is strict adherence to time lines especially in voice processes, dunno from where the director got this idea.
3. You cant access CDs etc from your systems at least at the executive level in almost all call centers, in this soap the executives can access stuff from their own systems.
4. Dont forget girls dont dress that way and sing along in cafeterias like bimbos.
5. This one was funny a guy starts yelling that the database is erased from his system, lol, really dont understand the setting in that program is of an outbound call center selling some stuff well the database is never kept on individual executive machines in any call center. Usually its at the client location and mirrored at the outsourced location.
6. Girls dont dress that way.
Its a good thing that you make a show set in todays world, but I feel at least the facts should be right. I really dunno how popular this soap is but if its popular then its not improving the perception of call centers at all.
