Saw the much awaited Othello
adaptation Omkara today. I have never read Shakespeare in my life other than some poetry in balbarathi, so dunno whether the director was able to do justice to the story, as far as the movie goes it was well made. Liked the performances of Saif and Konkona. Had read an interview with Bipasha, she said that her role would be as usual ‘hatke’ in this movie, all she did was dance two item numbers. Before the movie started a small clipping was played, it was a public interest campaign done by Ajay Devgan aired before the movie, it was urging people not to litter the city, linking plastic littering to last year’s floods, but I dunno whether it would be effective after all we all have zero civic sense.
