Yes I did it gain…

I dozed off while going home yesterday and had to miss a station. This isn’t the first time I’m doing it.

The last time I dozed off was hmmm well on Monday this week emoticon.

If I were a superhero I would have been called The Sleep Master.

Sleeping in trains and buses is nothing new to me like they say…mere liye to bayeh haath ka khel hai.

I remember once I dozed off in a harbour line train and I reached Khargar. The first thing you do after waking up from a deep slumber and realizing that you have missed your station is to get down and that’s what I did.

After getting down somehow I managed to drag myself to the other platform, a train was just about to leave but I didn’t bother to run and catch it coz Aamir Khan had once said that "Zindagi mein teen chezoon ke pechey kabhi nahin bhagna chahiye: bus, train or chokri."

Then I realized that it was past midnight and that was the last local.emoticon

How did I reach home? Thanks to friend who used to work with me, he had a late night shift and he made his cab driver to pick me up.

Once I was on my way back from Pune when my eyes opened lo! I was in Dadar. It was 1′O clock I guess, in that groggy state I got into a cab, then I realized that if I take the cab to Navi Mumbai it would cost a bomb, would be more than the Pune-Mumbai ticket. I asked him to take me to Wadala bus depot and fortunately I caught the last bus, well I slept in that too emoticon …jai BEST.

During engineering days I used to sleep while writing copying assignments. Some good soul would write them down and we (my lukka friends and I) would compress it in the train, 10 page assignments would become 3-5 pages, the compression algorithm we used has been patented. We were into a paper conservation frenzy during those days.

Well once I got a freshly minted assignment from a poor soul while going back so I thought I would go home and write it and that’s what I did.

Next day in the train I had two copies of assignments for the others. One of the guys who was copying from my assignment realized that he had written down words like granary, town centre etc. He checked my copy and even I had written them down. We checked the master copy but it didn’t have anything similar. Then I realized that those were words from AOE I and I had scribbled them when I almost dozed off the previous night writing copying that assignment.
