ICL starting soon

The first season of ICL would start soon.

Their success would depend solely on the number of eyeballs they would manage to capture.

The teams seems to have an interesting line up, all the foreign players are veterans but the Indian players are all fresh.

Whether league cricket catch up big time only time would tell, we may have to wait for million dollar transfers.

I feel the number of teams should be more, at least 16.

This would also enure that the season would go on for more than a month.

The ICL would face problems because of the hostile BCCI chances of their future seasons clashing with other international cricket tournamenst in addition to BCCI’s own IPL are imminent.

Too much of cricket may also cause people to turn away from their TV screens.

Political goons on train

It was good on the part of the Times of India to publish this report.

It throws light on the general rowdiness shown by the cadres of political parties in India.

They have a devil may care attitude towards the law of the land forget general people.

If you are part of a mob then you are superman, burn trains, buses, shops even people nothing would happen.

You don’t need a reason for the violence it could be the silliest of reasons.

This mob violence happened when some people were hit while crossing railway tracks, the mistake was on their part and not the railways.

Coming back to the news article, it says that a lot of goons of the BSP entered a reserved compartment and forcefully took up seats meant for a bunch of traveling kids.

This is something which happens very often when these political bigwigs hold sessions at Shivaji Park.

It’s high time the railway authorities do something about it; these goons travel without tickets and deny seats to genuine ticket holders.

They could just stop the train and refuse to run it, but no one would have the balls coz a mob of these rowdies would then torch the station …which can be later turned in their own favour…par chance kaun lega.

Personally I feel these jokers who attend such rallies traveling such long distance are fools of the highest order.

Don’t they have any work to do other than listen to some so-called leader?

If they are really interested then buy your own ticket and travel.

Its not only political parties who are rowdy this report shows how a group of wannabe cops behaved.

If you happen to be in Dadar area during such gatherings you would know what shit normal people go thru.

It’s been three days since the BSP incident and no leader from their party has apologised.

Chinese wake up call

This is a video of some Chinese folks learning English (via Digital Inspiration) it might seem funny to some.

It shows how innovative and determined the Chinese people are.

It’s time for the Indian IT/BPO industry to wake up to some serious competition else they would end up being a boiled frog.

The determination of the Chinese is way above the complacent work culture we have in India.

Was wondering what would have happened if we had done something similar in India, probably the parliament would have been disrupted or even riots.

With the kind of mob rule which has caught up lately anything is possible.

My GTD journery so far

My GTD journery so far has been good, one thing I learnt is that it is not a silver bullet to get you rid of procrastination.emoticon

It’s surely helped me feel good because success always gives you a high.

That’s a primary reason why solving puzzles helps the brain.

It gives small doses of success.

GTD does something similar completing a task on time gives your brain a kick, the magnitude might be small but it does help especially when you complete many such small tasks.

Due to GTD I have been able to complete such small tasks and it surely makes me feel good, especially big ones like these.

After reading this my next milestone would be to clean my file drawers and table, it may sound like a very simple task but only I know how big the monster is.

I always belonged to school which believd that an empty desk shows an empty mind emoticon

Airtel’s URL is www.airtel.in  but if you type in www.airtel.com it brings up Vodafone’s spanish site.

Airtel may not be a competitor for Vodafone in Spain but they sure are in India.

Who says forwaded e-mails dont have valuable information emoticon

My GTD book

This is my GTD book, took me at least an hour to create it with some help.

Spending an hour in creating it has actually made me use it.

I feel good ol pen and paper is better for implementing GTD especially for lazy bums like me.

I have created tabs for various actions and also for Inbox, Projects, Waiting, Someday maybe, Read, Refrence and also added a writing pad tab where I can do all the rough work.

My calendars stay inside a side jacket.

The other side jacket is for projects.

This is the close up of the action tabs.

The other tabs are kept on the top and bottom of the book.

Snap of the top tabs.

And the snap shown below is of the bottom tabs but it hasnt come in clearly, it contains Pad, Someday/Maybe and reference.
