Youngest Ashok Chakra winner

This is a write up about the youngest Ashok Chakra winner which came up on Rediff.

Its a pity that none of the national newspapers ran this story.

Captain Harshan gave up his life defending the country at the age of 26 !!!

From the article:

When others his age read fiction, he read the Bhagavad Gita. When others his age spoke about movies, he spoke about what the Gita had taught him. When others his age enjoyed the comfort of their homes, he fought terrorists in Kashmir. Yes, this 26 year old was an extraordinary young man. Never had his plans failed earlier. He was planning to come home, and he did come home. Alas! home they brought the warrior dead.

May his sould rest in peace and also of other unsung heroes like him.

Jodha Akbar

Saw the trailer of the upcoming movie Jodha Akbar. Dont know how the movie would perform at the box office, but I liked the trailer.

Especiallty the war sequences looked good, better than people fighting with cardboard weapons.

Looks like Ashutosh Gowariker has roped in some good FX folks, well its high time the Hindi film industry does it.

State of the nation !!!

Someone is killed in an encounter under suspicious conditions; his wife is eliminated later on.

Then comes the oh so good chief minister of the most developed state in India, Mr Modi, who owns up with great pride that he did it.

The article says that he asks the crowd what one should do with someone who stores illegal arms and ammunition. The crowd says kill him.

Wait a second if that’s the case then we would have to bump off all political bullies in India because they would surely have illegal arms and even Sanju baba has to go then.

No wonder we are still considered third world, people have not completely evolved into human beings they have retained the wild animal instinct in them even now.

This country is turning into a banana republic, people with vulgar power decides what to do. They have the power to unleash these wild dogs and do whatever they want to do. Its a common phenomenon happening across the entire nation.

The commies in China are much better, than the farce democracy here. At least they allow the country to prosper.

Raw deal for ICL??

I couldn’t watch a single match because my cable guy doesn’t show Zee sports.

I feel that ICL has been given a reallly raw deal by the media.

Newspapers don’t have much coverage on ICL matches, only the inaugural day was covered well may be it was Kareena magic.

Other than ZEE News other channels hardly cover ICL matches.

If things go on like this it would surely give Essel guys a really hard time. The revenue would get hit, as this report suggests they can’t rake in the moolah thru tickets, they have to grab a good chunk of TV viewers.

With IPL having ready national and international names with really deep pockets to sponsor them, ICL guys would have a really tough time ahead.
