One more date

26 / 11 . One more date to remember that we are not safe in our own country during peace time. Hoping that the count of such dates wont go up but the pessimist in me doesn’t say so.

We are so indifferent that after all this gets over, our politicians would be back to the dirty work they do.  We would be fighting which region/religion/caste/language is better than the other. We would shamelessly forget that we are one nation.

Its the biggest security failures in a country which spends a huge bomb on defence every year. A bunch of bastards take a boat cross international waters and hold the financial capital at ransom.

Like Ratan Tata said we have not learned anything from our past mistakes.

I’m hoping people would wake up and take charge.

Fashion ka jalwa

Watched Fashion yesterday. It took me back to a situational leadership workshop attended couple of years ago. The trainer told us that animals have only two reactions to an unknown stimulus fight or flight, but human beings have an extra negotiate.

Thats what the three main characters of the movie do, Meghna Mathur played by Priyanka Chopra fights, Janet played by Mughda Godse negotiates  and Shonali Gujral played by Kanagana Ranaut flights.

The movie is typical Madhur Bhandarkar realistic genre, like his previous movies it tells how certain individuals sell their morals to get on top and how most of them falls on their face, but who the hell decides whats moralistic and whats not?

Although Priyanka is projected as the main protagonist of the movie I liked the role played by Kangana Ranaut.

Its worth a watch but a long  one.

Diginity in defeat

McCain urged all Americans to shed their differences and cooperate with the Illinois Senator to bring the country out of the "difficult" times.

This statement by John McCain very clearly tells us the difference between American and Indian politicians.

Such a statement would have never come out from any defeated leader  of any political party in India irrespective of the margin.

Here the defeated person would have cried foul citing 10000 stupid reasons for the defeat and never accept that the other person has won.
